  1. plip.device 38.12 - bug fix by RJ James to plip.device 38.11 by O Wagner.

  3. 38.12 fixes a bug in S2_DEVICEQUERY which assumed the SizeAvailable field
  4. contained the number of bytes of the 'Common information' fields so it
  5. would return a SizeSupplied smaller than it should have. The S2R2 spec
  6. states SizeAvail includes the 'Standard information' fields as well.

  8. I can't say what it fixes in regard to Envoy as that's under NDA, and I
  9. don't know what effect it will have with the likes of AmiTCP, please post
  10. your results in comp.sys.amiga.networking with something like 'PLIP 38.12'
  11. in the subject.

  13. Only the appropriate source code has been modified and revision number
  14. bumped, all other docs are as supplied in the 38.11 release. A complied
  15. version of the 38.12 plip.device is also included, this was built with the
  16. SAS/C Compiler 6.55 and Assembler 6.50.

  18. I'm not doing any more work on plip.device since Martin J. Laubach
  19. <mjl@CSlab.tuwien.ac.at> is working on making it faster and has fixed
  20. things like the configuration aswell as the bug I found simultaneously,
  21. this has been released for those who may benefit from it until Martin
  22. releases his.
